The Wisconsin SBDC is just one of 62 America’s SBDC networks with nearly 1,000 locations across the country, all providing small businesses and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed.
Like our consultants have gone virtual to deliver assistance, information and classes in this pandemic, America’s SBDC went virtual in 2021 for its annual report. The web format brings strong visual attention to how the SBDC delivered vital resources during the most critical of times. Whether the business is in an underserved or rural community, exporting, participating in an accelerator or owned by a woman, SBDCs have stood up to their reputation to be a steadfast pillar of support.
Satisfaction with our services is high: America’s SBDC, which served more than half a million small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs in fiscal year 2020, has 95 percent of its clients saying they’d recommend SBDC services!
In a nutshell, these national results show why:
- Clients served: 510,707
- Businesses started: 20,374
- Jobs created: 91,767
- Sales growth: $7 billion
- Capital infusion: $6 billion
“Our new virtual report beautifully articulates the depth and breadth of the SBDC Network, its services and the myriad of businesses they serve. When poring over the 500+ stories and anecdotes about SBDC clients and their success, it’s not surprising to learn that 95% of SBDC clients recommend SBDC services.” said Charles “Tee” Rowe, America’s SBDC President & CEO.
Note: You can learn more about Wisconsin’s results at our Impact page. We update our numbers each year in early February to allow time to finalize the data for the previous calendar year. We have much to celebrate, as this virtual report shows!
